I hear it's a big industry, but I've never tried it.  Does anyone have a recommendation where I might get started?

I've played before.  It's hard giving your credit card company to someone who's probably in the Cayman Islands, but most of the places I've been at are pretty reputable.  A buddy of mine is actually trying to play professionally.  Here's his poker blog.

I like on-line poker but you lose a part of the game that makes Hold'em what it is. On-line is great for people who want to learn for free. Sitting in front of other players however adds an element of pressure when you are or are forcing someone to commit all their chips.

Good point.  I'm just now picking up the game (which is probably going to be key to running a poker related website).  I played in the BWW-Lewisville tournament tonight and definitely felt some of the face to face pressure.

I think I might try some low-limit stuff online so I can get a better understanding of the hands so I can play a little better off the cuff.
